Every news outlet in the UK and Western Europe, as well as on the ground reports clearly say that the pro-Russian/anti-Kiev protesters in Odessa were chased into the building, a union hall, by a violent pro-Kiev mob who set the building on fire causing 31 inside to be burned alive. At least some who escaped, suffering burns and injury, were then beaten by the crowd outside. But a few decent souls in the crowd outside did try to help those inside escape.

A simple internet search reveals on the ground reports, video and blog entries and tweets revealing the story from Odessa yesterday.

We here in America have the utmost freedom of speech like no other people have, and a free press. There is no need to twist ourselves into propagandistic knots through selective editing and ambiguous wording simply because the news of the moment reveals that the side we support in Ukraine (the interim government and its supporters) did something horrific yesterday.

For shame, New York Times.

Please highlight this major omission.

Thank you.
